Found enough to keep me busy. I can say that the new coil can differentiate between nickels and old style beaver tail pull tabs and the newer type rectangular pull tabs with the 2 holes in them. Have only found 1 pencil erasure holder and it jumped in and out of the nickel range but I need to find more before I can add them to the list or not. Exceptions...The new style pull tab on edge gives a steady 57, dug it for a nickel and was surprised when it wasn't, The new style tabs that have been bent or twisted. Can slaw can give steady 57, 58 and is now my new arch enemy, I have most of the pull tabs figured out. The other exception is a nickel with trash very close to it, It jumped like a new style tab and that is what I dug it for and was surprised to find an actual nickel. but rescanning the hole confirmed the presence of foil trash in the same hole. The 3 nickels in the picture were found in a local park full of aluminum trash, pulltabs and bottlecaps. I knew 2 of them were nickels or rings before I dug them, there was no can slaw in this area so there was a high probability they were nickels. The other was the one with foil in the same hole and I called it for a new style pull tab. I did call one more for a nickel but it turned out to be a small square piece of aluminum bottle cap about 1/4 inch squared and it was a solid 57. So while it is not an exact science, after 3 days of detecting with this coil I feel it definitely allows the Gamma to perform at its very best. Thanks or looking and HH!
