It wasn't too bad if I stayed out of the wind but still only lasted a couple of hours. The shotgun base is a 10 gauge, don't see many of those. The Merc is a 1918 and the wheat is a 56. Nice little President pin and a wire wrapped "something".
 
I didnt get out at all... was hoping to get an hour or two tonight but thats been derailed..... rain in the forecast now..... maybe next week!
 
In my opinion the Mercury Dime made it a pretty good short hunt. At least you got out and found a few things.

The field I want to hunt (3 house sites) was just worked last week and I am waiting on a hard rain tonight to firm up the ground. Over the last couple years one of these sites has produced pieces of a sword and I am hoping to find more of it this year.
