Got a small break in my cabin fever this evening :thumbup: Sure was nice to get out again.The 2 barbers were over a measured 10" in mud with water standing on the ground in good river bottom soil.I went to a old fair grounds that use to be plowed every year and was hammered and then about 10 years ago they turned it into a hay field.The old hay stubble was a bear but I ain't complaining as it kept the soil from freezing as much.I was going for broke and had manual sen. maxed at 30 and the barbers were solid and repeatable but did not sound like silver usually does.Reading like a deep Indian at 1-30 here in my area,Ray.

hey if you use firefox browser all you have to do is right click on the pic links and tell them to open in a new tab. that leaves this open and the pics load on there own pages so no having to click back.

anyway nice hunt Ray.
 
Nice goin ray-mo. I dont know where you are in MO, though I live about 5 miles from the southwest corner of MO and the ground here is SATURATED!. I dug a merc two weeks ago and when I pulled the plug out of the ground there was water standing to the top of the hole that I just made! I stuck my pinpointer into the water and located the merc. I am still hoping for that "golbal warming" thing to kick off soon.
 
I seem to get the same results with gain set high on the explorer,sometimes pennies read top left of screen,
sometimes they read as dimes,i just dig them all!

Nice job on those deepies, Ray. You are getting some serious "D" by kicking the E-trac up a notch with max sensitivity. :yo:
 
It is almost impossible to run max sen. in lot of the places I hunt.Much of this site is no better but out in some of the fringe areas
i can crank it wide open and with the hay stubble being around 4" tall it is a must to get any depth,Ray.
