That's a pretty good amount of silver for a few hours. Good job, GR. I have a couple of schools that have produced several older silver coins since I started hitting them in the past 2-3 years or so. However, things seem to be getting quite thin at them the last few times there, so although I can't say they are hunted out, they may not be worth going to much longer. It's great to find a school with "older" dirt in at least some of the yard/field areas where you feel like you've got a shot at finding some older stuff if you give it enough effort. I have been to quite a few older schools (at least the building was old - built in at least the early 50s if not much earlier) this year & expected to get silver but often found the dirt was hard & claylike in most areas which probably meant it was fill brought in sometime in the last 30 years or so making the chances of finding silver &/or wheats extremely remote to impossible. I guess I am going to have to venture out a bit further & try some new schools to find the next good place that may not have been hunted quite as much & work it for a while. Enjoy that school while you can. It sounds like there is enough stuff left to make for at least a couple more productive hunts before it tapers off.

Take care & HH.
Dan.

a good lot of oldies looks like you had a good day GR. it"s nice when you find an old photo of the spot your hunting.

You can't complain about Silver Quarters either. Love finding them bigger Silver. Keep working that School House Site and Good Luck and HH when you return to it.

I've past this old school many times and never stopped. It's town land and I don't think it has seen a metal detector until now.A treat for sure. At the same time I am sad to think of the time that has gone by and the lives that have passed through and now just me,I'm the guy that finds that part of those lives.I have been blessed.GR
