GPS-Oriented Mine Database

You may want to take a look at a new, GPS-oriented website we are putting together that will list old mines and landmarks in the 11 Western US "Mining States". We have started in Southern California and are working north. Some of the mines just have locations, some have detailed descriptions of the mine, its history, minerals present, geology and surrounding areas. About 95% have latitude and longitude coordinates, so if you use a GPS you may find this feature useful. We have about 350,000 mines for which we have data, so the loading process will likely last as long as we do; but updates will be almost continuous. Take a look and let us know what you think.
