GPS walkie talkie

I'm not aware of any company, beside Garmin, offering a GPS / walkie-talkie combined units. From Garmin, the most powerful are the 500 series receivers.

In case you didn't use a walkie-talkie in the wild before, you should know that manufacturer's advertised ranges are for optimum reception conditions. You can normally get these ranges over open water. Terrain and vegetation greatly affect the practical range of these babies. There will be times where you can communicate miles apart and at other times, it will be hard to get reception at less than a mile if the parties are seperated by a large hill!
