I went to a friends house today and detected the back yard.Gotta love New England! 1920 Mercury dime,1952D Roosevelt dime,1941 & 1944D Washingtons, a 1912 Liberty nickel ,32 Wheat cents,a kids toy cap pistol and some other relics.Love these types of sites.

Thanx Niagra, been using beach mode, auto+ 3 like we talked about.I did an air test and it seemed to pick up on everything that I threw at it.Any additional suggestions? I downloaded the Andy S. coin program and it seemed to give me a bunch of chatter so I reverted to the beach mode and this day was the result.

Beach mode - interesting....what disc pattern have you been using? Jim's (NiagraCtyNY) latest?

No,just the stock, from the factory beach mode.It picks up all us coins including all clad, indians,(not sure about flying eagles as I do not have any to test),lincolns, all nickels, dimes, quarters, halves and my Morgans including Large cents and tokens.Descriminates most of the crap that we don't want like nails and ferrous trash. It also hits large iron.I tested it on all of my colonial relics including my shoebuckles and it worked like a charm.I put a bunch of different colonial buttons under the coil to test them as well and they all hit like a coin signal, loud and clear. This is the mode that I also use in the old cellar holes and it has worked for me there as well, with great results.I'm primarily a coin hunter but love digging up the old buttons and all the other goodies associated with early america.I run auto sensitivity+3,fast recovery, heavy trash and ground difficult. For these types of sites the beach mode works for me.

your killin it Jason

Thank you for posting the pics... don't you love the E-TRAC? People who don't have one just dont understand how good it is and people who tried to make it be a better Explorer missed out too.
