Great summer!

With the exception of the usual summertime horse flies and mosquitos,it has been a decent season for us up here in NH.Found my 22 nd large copper since March of 2010 the other day as well as some silver including a 39 Walking Liberty half and some Mercs and rosies.Been a large number as well of the colonial shoe buckles and buttons and other early treats. The sterling silver woman's brooch found last week has what appears to be diamonds on it and is gorgeous to look at.My last copper turned out to be an 1807 over 6,small 7 variety Draped Bust cent.Wish it was in better shape however.
I'll admit ,I havn't posted much on this site for a few months now,but i'm back into the swing of things.I'll post some of my better finds in the past month or so.I'm a big fan now of the 2 tone ferrous settings in all metal or the bottom ferrous line knocked out in ultra trashy cellar holes.Certainly learning more about the machine with this setting. In non trashy sites I have been using quickmask set at around 22 or so with conductive tones.
Hope that everybody else here is doing great as well.

It was found about 6'' deep in an old field adjacent to some early colonial cellar holes.I'm guessing victorian era or earlier, but that is just a guess on my part.

You do great, because you work hard at it.
You're a pleasure to hunt with, because you like the hobby so much, and you respect others.
I only expect to see great post from you when I see you've posted something.

All I can say is...IT's HIGH time you posted something. What's it been? Like a 7 or 8 week sabbatical??? Did you get "lost in the woods"? :poke::sadwalk::help::rofl:

Seriously. Good to have you back. Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on some awesome finds!

It was 103 here with a muggy 115 heat index yesterday so we are not detecting very much:rant: Helps to look at other forum members finds great or small,Thanks!

Keep posting those old relics/coins, Jason. They are very intriguing to look at. Many of those finds are just not possible in my neck of the woods. I really like that sterling woman's brooch too!! :super:

Congrats on all your finds!!

Those are very nice finds! I've only seen those flowing hair coppers in coin price guides. It's so cool that you can find them where you are.
