Gridding an area:yo:

Went to a local soccer field yesterday, and decided to experiment a little.
i concentrated on one field, and decided i would dig everything.
the field had all the lines painted so it made it easy to use as a grid.
did half the field, results, about five dollars in clad, and a cheapie ring.
Second half of the field, wandered here and there, all over the place on the second half.
Results,one quarter!
So this goes to show,if you take your time on an area, you will find lots more.
also, digging everything, the next time i go there,i will know if something has been dropped since i was last there.
There are places i could not do this, like the park next to it,it would take forever!
But the point is,if you grid an area, and cover all of it,SLOWLY,you will find a lot more.

Thanks for looking,
LabradorBob

2nd that. We hunt alot in plowed fields over 100's of acres and its very hard to stay put in one spot and hunt it with a grid but if you do like you just stated it has always paid off. And when you leave you feel that area is hunted out and I can move on the another spot.
