Ground balance question

Well-known member
What method of GB do you use on the T2SE? GB first or after settings are selected? I usually do it after.Thanks.

I always do it after,if it wont GB i then move a little and then try again 99% of the time it does it 1st time, and then i still do a GB say every 20 minutes in the same field and certainly do another one when i enter a new field.I have found this the best way and of course what one person does may not work for another, but in all the years that i have used a T2 i have never had any trouble.

For what it's worth, cause I'm by no means an expert on how detectors work. It's just what I do. I hunt in bp and cl all the time. Ground balancing I put it in bp and set sensitivity as high as I can go. Disc I set at 0 , ground balance then set the disc to whatever I feel I need for the site. I figure disc at 0 I'm getting a true ground balance. I could be doing it totally wrong but that's just how I do it. HH

Exactly how I do mine, although I hunt in all metal most of the time. I saw on youtube a guy doing it the exact opposite. Just wondered if there was any difference. Thanks for the replies. Robert

I guess the only one who could answer that question would be Dave Johnson, or maybe Monte. I'd like to get an answer from someone who knows for sure.
When are you gonna post up some more of those Hanover relics ?

Been hunting a WELL hunted spot the last few times out...only managed about 5 bullets. Gonna hit up the Varina spot tomorrow, hopefully will do better. The T2 is headed for the upgrade so it looks like the MXT will get the dust knocked off...lol...still a good detector though.
