Had a lousy day yesterday. It was dry most of the day so I went out to one of my favorite spots..

Didn't find doodly ( about 55 cents ) and it was nice and muddy but I got to do some swinging and got some much needed exercise. I've sat in this house so long I'm turning into a slug. It's pouring down again today with no end in sight for days. Even my dog who is usually quite active just lays in the corner all day. Think she has given up on ever seeing the sunshine again. She was pestering me to go out when I got up this morning so I let her out and soon as she stepped out in the pouring rain she turned around and looked at me with that look of, " The hell with this" and turned around and came back in. :)

It's dark and gloomy all day and we have to have the lights on during the day. It just really sucks. To think, I left such exotic locales as Phoenix, Las Vegas, Southern California, to move to this swamp. I may have to go on anti-depressants. :rage: Guess I could do some writing. Keep getting requests from the treasure magazines but I ain't even in the mood for that. So all I can do is read about what you guys find and hope it stops raining before July. We actually had one year where it rained from about September all the way to July Fourth. That was a horrible year. Hope this year ain't a repeat. End of rant.

At least you got OUT! I can relate to your dog. Mine is the same way. Looks at me like I'M stupid and turns around and goes back to lay down. Dog is smart! Maybe while your shut in you could think up some ways or accessories that would enable detectorists to comfortably go detecting in the rain? You could make a fortune on that one! Hope you get back out soon. HH Jack in Austin

We're excpected to get wet weather until Saturday and then the temp is going to dip into the low 40s... Dang it, mother nature had me fooled that it was spring!!!! Only another 3 monthes to go.

I got a chance to get out yesterday for a while too. Raining here all day today, only one day this week suppsed to be sunny and I gotta work it!

Dang! If it gets into the 40's here in Jan - March you can bet I will be out tectin! We usually don't see 40 till mid march!:garrett:

How about an umbrella hat - but that's been done I believe. Remember way back when service stations gave you green stamps when you bought gas? I used to tell folks that here in Oregon they gave away wiper blades instead. HA. I'm hoping we don't have months of rain as we have had a few times in the past. Now two years ago we had the warmest February on record. It was 80 degrees every day for the entire month. We all thought we had died and gone to heaven or that Global Warming had arrived early.

Temps have been pretty good here, in the fifties to near sixty during the day but raining constantly. It's 8:30 PM now and it's about 41 degrees and raining. I can handle cool temps if the wind ain't blowing but when the wind comes whistling down out of the Columbia Gorge it gets brutal and I hate wind anyway

Bill.
