Had to walk through some IL snow to get to the Barber shop...but it was OPEN

Nice job Bryce. Hearing stories such as yours keeps my hope up in the park I've been hitting. Really goes to show, in reality, that it takes quite a few swings on every inch of the soil in different directions and in different soil conditions (wet/dry) before a site can be ruled "hunted out". In that case, most of us that say a site is hunted out are only fooling ourselves.

My current park that yielded a Barber and Merc my first time there (30 min hunt), has yielded only 7 or so wheats since then. The problem is the deep iron falsing I'm getting. All of them have the depth meter pegged and most of them have my smartfind cursor staying in the top left side, but a few bounce over to the right. On the good bounce signals; once I open the hole, the signal disappears.

Enough about my problems. Sad to see your hunting season coming to a close just as ours is improving. Can't wait to see you back in action.

falsing can be a real pain in the arss. I have my iron mask set at a specific spot for this very reason. I've found a setting that works for me...and if I open it up even one number...then deep iron starts to sound too good. If I close it even one number...then the SE will no longer hit deep silver while nulling.
As for those bouncers....I love those...but only the ones that start right...then flutter towards the top center. The ones that start left where my iron mask is set at...then bounce right are iron 99% of the time for me.
Anyway.there's no way around it. If we want to find the deep silver that's still hidin' down there...then we have to dig a little crud to get to it.:bouncy:
Take care weasel..and good luck on your next hunt.

awesome barber and injun day Bryce  hope we can get out one more time before the crappy weather starts :detecting: HH PHIL

it's FREAKIN' COLD:smoke: :bouncy: If it warms up even just enough to keep the snot from freezin' to our faces...I'll give you a buzz:clapping:

Nice pile, as usual Bryce! I got out a couple of times lately, but not too much to show for it. I'm gonna post my meager finds, if I can motivate myself to take a picture of 'em. . .but you're always digging great stuff. Keep it up, and good hunting!

Mark

awesome Bryce. Way to go as usual. More injuns.

You can find them anywhere. You should come hunt my yard, house was built in 1996, but you would probably find injuns there:please:

Bob Kononiuk:detecting:

:crylol:  Thanks Bob. I was wondering how you'd been doing. I hope your holidays go well. Mine will be completely different this year. We made it through Thanksgiving okay...but Christmas will be rough. Take care buddy.

Thanks Mark. Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner. I missed it somehow. I bet you had a good time hunting with Jim. You could sneak and unhook his coil from his XS...and he's still find something:clapping: Take care
