yep! I found a few exact size aluminum discs earlier this year... so after I dug this I threw it in my trash pouch... lucky I looked and saw the lady.... HOLY %$@#!!!!!!!! dark and beautiful! rang in at a 12-24 if I was in discrimination mode I would have missed her!

Nice coin! They sure come out of the ground brown there! Can't believe there is still snow on the ground....

Wow good thing you looked twice! That"s a strange number reading for a half dime. The ones I've dug have come in around 7-34 9-34. I doubt I would have dug that. Goes to show you should dig it all. Congrats on an awesome find!

Congrat's on finding it twice, lol. it's a good thing you checked it over a lil better.

I found a Merc the other day that looked just like that, dark gray. When ever I find something like that I rub the edge of it on my pants and if it looks shiny after doing that. It goes in my coin pocket.

Whoa. Nice find great that you didn't toss it!

I hit a quarter today that rang 19 - 15. I wasn't going to dig it because it rang up at a 15 but it was so loud and the pitch so high I decided to dig anyway. As soon as i opened my flap I could see it was a quarter. It was a 1971

I have hit a few nickles that rang up at 15 but nothing else

Congrats on the half dime. That's one great find.

Nice find! And nice save.
I almost tossed a worn barber dime in the trash pouch. It was so smooth on one side thought it was an aluminum bingo chip.
