Hard Shell Travel Case for SE

New member
Does anyone make & sell a hard shell travel case for the SE. Or should I just go to the local sports shop to get one and carve out the foam myself?

I've got one for my DFX, but don't recall ever seeing one for an explorer. I'm going to take the plunge this year and travel to the beach with just the explorer:detecting:

PS, I want one that is small enough for carry on. I won't check it.

The explorer breaks down quite a bit, I have padded case for an old camcorder, but it would fit in there. Check garage sales or storage bin auctions, should be able to pick one up for under $5.

If you don't want to break the detector down, a bow case found in sporting goods works pretty good. A little on the big side for carrying around, but to protecting your detecting goods in the back of the truck, it works great for a couple of machines and lots of accessories.
