Hardwired wireless headphones

I think the Racer 2 wireless headphones are great but has anyone tried the hard wire cable provided with them? In my experience it didn't work. With every swing over a target the headphone volume got lower until after a few swings there was silence. I tried two adapters and had the same results.

Were they powered on? May still require power. Or perhaps the opposite. If they were on try with them off. I have bluetooth headphones that died that I still use wired with my computer and phone. These particular ones work powered off.

Power on or off makes no difference. If I try them wired they lose audio volume with each pass of the target until there's no sound. Has anyone else had this issue? They work fine wireless.
