I find the machine very interesting in design and it looks very light weight but if were to us it a heavy wooded area i can see that unit have bit diffculty if i fall down it might break . what do they cover repair and replacement cost. Iam not knocking on machine cost is minor to other brand new machine's out there. good luck to users of the machine wish you the best
If yuo get a chance to put one in your hands, yuo will see that despite the weight being what it is (or what it is not), it is really a pretty rugged piece of equipment. I know when I first took an F75 out, I had similar concerns but with the gazillions that have been sold, having them snap apart in the field has not been an issue . . . . .
I think they have a pretty solid repar policy and if one did break, it must have taken a pretty solid hit of some sort . . . . .
Has anyone here broken their current detector in the field as a result of an inadvertant fall . . . . be interesting to see if this is an issue that has occurred . . . . . if hate to admit this but one of mine did break many years ago . . . . . but it happened when I got a tad frustarted with what I was not finding yet my father who was with me at the time was . . . . and he was not impressed when I slammed it against a tree and bent the shaft
as" mr. sabisch" so eloquently points out,if it works for you, then
it's worth it! may i be so bold to also point out, that many other detectors
will work for you too,and a ''TON"' of them are priced far lower than
$2,000.00 just a little something to think about!..just sayin''
Well, if XP can't meet the demand for them.... price isn't an issue! People are pleased with what they are seeing AND receiving when they order one... just sayin'
I dig plenty of deep targets with the Deus. It has superb audio quality. Sorry your house is only worth a couple of grand. I guess the housing market really sucks where you live.
the 18khz xp,s over here are known as the hammered hoover as they suck up any tiny little gold n silver coins including little chains which iv seen guys walk right over with other detectors
just sayin
Ok everyone that's enough! Lets use this forum to be supportive and helpful with others and NOT tear each other down. I have learned so much from all of you on here so please stop disappointing me elementary behaviour.
There were some good points raised and addressed by several people that have used the Deus for more than a few minutes . . . . . everyone is entitled to their opinion and all sides of the coin were aired here but as several people stated, let's stick to the purpose of the forum which is to exchange information on the detector and not start throwing rocks at each other when someone can justify the cost of a new detector or praises specific features . . . . if you are so dedicated to your current detector by all means, stick with it and be happy with your finds . . . . or ask questions in a manner that encourages a positve exchange rather than comeing in like a bull in a china shop . . . . . a better flow of information will result
