I am really ticked off right now and since this isn't something that should be aired on Facebook and to keep from spreading it around the work place, I'm coming here to vent.
Part of of my job is to be the Case Manager for Drug Court which means I am in charge of every person who goes through Drug Court and I handle all of their cases. The other part of my job is as the Case Manager/Probation Officer for Community Corrections (who controls Drug Court) and I handle Prison Diversion cases, supervisions, etc. - that's a heck of a lot different career than the teaching I used to do, but I love it!
Anyway, for Drug Court there is what is called the Drug Court Team, and on this team are two people from the substance abuse/recovery/counseling facility, the District Attorney, Defense Attorney, County Criminal Clerk, the Director of Community Corrections, Secretary, myself, and the Drug Court Judge. All Christians except for our Jewish friend the Defense Attorney.
We have recently been having some undercurrent trouble between the two ladies from the substance abuse place that is beginning to upset the cart as far as the whole team is concerned, but is directly affecting ME since I have to handle everything. Friday after court the Judge came to me asking questions about if I knew what was going on because he could tell things weren't right. I was reluctant to tell him anything at all because I have NEVER been one to talk about people I work with behind their backs and usually go the extra mile to keep the peace. Well, Judge kept pushing me to tell him what I knew and thinking he was a Godly man and a man of his word I finally gave in and told him what the problem was. I asked him, before I told him, to promise me that it would remain between the two of us. Well, guess what! It didn't. He went straight to the woman who is causing the problems and told her everything I said. Of course she denied the whole thing which makes ME look like the trouble maker when in reality I have nothing to do with what's been going on.
I'm NOT a happy camper right now. :veryangry:
