"I don't tell people about Jesus. I just let the way I live be a witness". Mr. Genor makes a statement to that which cannot be denied.
I am not the best at telling people about Jesus, it always scares me but I am smart enough to know that there are some very moral athesists, muslims, and buddhists. We still need to tell people about Jesus or hand out or leave tracts or something. Good living is a part of it but it's not enough by itself. Besides, who of us really lives a good life if all were known about us?
Another thing... My radar always goes off when some singer or actor receives an award and say's, "I want to thank God". I always think to myself... "which god"? Only when they say, "I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ"... am I certain what they mean.
Did you notice how many people called Mr. Genor an obnoxious little man, how many were offended... it's the Gospel. Jesus is a rock! First He is a rock of offense, then He is cheif Cornerstone. Any gospel that doesn't offend isn't the gospel of Christ that say's come and die, come embrace your cross. Much of the church in America has truly become ashamed of the gospel.
I listened one day to a message given by a preacher in Texas, you'd know him if I named him, but I wont. He stands in a ministry that his dad built and he preaches a sort of "positive thinking" gospel, not the cross, not die to self but be a better self... I was amazed... in the whole message, before an audience of thousands... I didn't hear the name Jesus once.
We visited a church down the road. It has grown very fast and we decided to check it out. As people were being seated the "worship band" broke into part of the Deep Purple song "Smoke on the Water". Some woman jumped up un the middle with the "devil horn hands" and started headbanging... they sort of lost me then, but we stayed. The whole message was three ways to invite someone to come to church with you next Sunday... that was literally the whole message, bring someone with you next week... we didn't even bring ourselves back. It is really hard to find a good church anymore but we are still looking since we moved.
Well, I reckon i've fussed enough... i'm glad you all liked the video, I think it's awesome and challenging.
