Heading to the beach/ 705 & 10x5 DD any hints 1st time

Heading to the beach tomorrow for the first time so will have to learn how the 705 operates, this beach doesn't have a lot of iron and is pretty mild. will use the beach mode and also try prospecting mode for the first time to get use to it.

You should have a good time on the beach....great place to try out the MD. Easy to dig targets are a plus when getting used to the tones and TID's. Great coil for the beach......Dig it all, low TID's are not always foil and tabs. Good solid repeatable signals are always worth investigating. GL

I have used a Sand Shark for about two years so i'm use to the beach hunting, just new to the 705, i will run in AM and maybe run #2 disc with all open to see how that works. Excited to see how it performs.

For me the beach was a huge difference from the usually dirt. I was able to run my detector at 90+% of full sensitivity, compared to the normal 30-60%. There are about 90% less targets at a beach than your typical park so dig every signal. You should probably be digging iron as well, because gold and silver chains might come in as iron more than an inch or two away from the detector.

Ah, boy, detecting at the beach sounds real good right now, but alas, no spring break for me this year. Must work to pay taxes.....yuck.
