Headphone jack not making good contact.

My Etrac that has many miles on it has started not allowing the headphone jack to make good solid contact when I insert the jack into the control insert. Does anyone know how to D.I.Y this problem?

Careful with that Qtip.
Don't want to leave any fuzz in there to collect debris.
Maybe a small dowel rod just smaller than the headphone jack.
Glue one wrap of cloth on.
Then apply cleaner to cloth and have a go.
I bought a 10" headphones jack extension.
Leave it in the headphone jack.
Taped the extension to the shaft.
Secured the jack end as well.
If anything wears out.
It will be the extension. Easily replaced.
I prefer Peavey's Funk Out to clean electronics.
Leaves a nice protective film after blowing excess off.
At most good music stores and amazon.
Good Luck.
