Is there one headphone that is really good for metal detecting? Have a old pair that wrap around the ears really good with coil cord and
seems to work ok, but thinking I might be missing out on some targets! Also has switch for stereo or mono.

No, there are several very good ones for detecting, my favorite is the SunRay Golds.
