Hello my friends

Well-known member
Just a note to let you all know I am still kicking and think of you often. I have my share of trials since the first of the year. My wife Linda started having some serious health problems that at the time, no Dr. we took her to could find a answer for. A few thought they had the answer, and put her through a couple of - what turned out to be - unnecessary surgery's. Her health continued to decline to the point I almost lost her a couple of times. In desperation we finally took her to a auto immune specialist who had studied at Johns Hopkins and is considered one of the best in the world in this field. After countless tests, she was diagnosed with Wagoners disease - a very rare disease that was 100% fatal till 1970. Since then, new meds. have been devoloped to treat it and the long term survival rates are now about 80%. She was started on a course of meds. that she will be on for the rest of her life. Thank God she has improved greatly. She still has bad days but also has good days. We get through the bad times and enjoy the good times. I took a long term leave of absense from work.....and we have just about gone through our life savings.....but that does not concern me in the least. I am now back to work as she gotten most of her strength back....but still has some terrible days. We celebrated our 35th anniversary on mothers day, and with the help of the Lord and a good doctor hope to celebrate many more.

I know many of you all have had your own problems, but I thought I owed you all-my friends - an explaination for my disappearance. I hope you all can understand and hope all is well with you all.

You've been missed Dan!

This is the time of year when most people are caught up in life and have little time to sit at a keyboard for long.

Welcome back and I am glad things are getting better for your Lady!

Regards,

CJ

continues to get better. Most of the time the path to healing a person it finding out what the heck is wrong in the first place.

Hang in there Dan!

Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck but it looks likes it turning around for you now. Its seems at times that these so called golden years are more golden for the doctors them the rest of us. Yet, I know I for one would not be here if it were not for them and their skills. Amazing what they can do these days to turn things around. I hope all stays going on a more positive note and that good times are what stay with you both.
