"Hello" Old Friends

After almost a year of not swinging my X-Terra 705, due to health and family problems, I decided to day to give it a try. Not having any new places to go I decided to return to the field where I have recovered a number of artifacts. Because I have hunted this same area quite a few times I decided to dig every signal. Well, nine holes and nine nails and two hours later I decide it was time to head for the truck. I turned toward the truck, took two steps and got a solid 38 reading at about 6". I removed a half shovel of dirt and spotted what looked like silver. I carefully removed the dirt and to my surprise, and delight I
pulled a 1903 Barber quarter from the hole. First day back and recover silver, doesn't get much better. TomB

Nice find, the old silver really get the blood flowing.:clapping: I've got a place I have hunting alot and I'm going back to it in a couple of weeks, hoping I can pull out some more silver.

Good to see you again Tom. Been missing your post.

Glad that you're doing better and back swinging Tom!
And a super way to re-enter too! Barbers are always good!

I was using the 10.5 DD 7.5 kHz coil. I use it about 90% of the time. TomB

Glad to hear things have settled down enough for you to get out and do a little detecting. And what a way to re-enter the arena! Congrats! HH Randy

Very good to see you Tom! What a way to come back to the hunt! A sweet Barber! Congrats on it! Beale.

Nice find. That should help jump start your metal detecting desire.

Wow! It's been such a long time since I've seen one of your posts that I'd almost forgot about you until I saw your picture. Welcome back!

Good job on finding the Barber. I found my first Barber quarter a few months ago with that same coil.

Thanks guys for the welcome back. TomB

Tom, Good to see ya post again!! Get out and get some of those "Boolets" like you have dug in the past. I don't go with out the 10.5DD for relic hunting, it's a must have!!....Mark

Glad to see that you feel like detecting, and that you are out doing so,i still get alot of enjoyment from just searching for that next cool find, and you found one, way to go!!
Keep looking up and God bless
