Hello To all !!

Well I'm a first time poster and the proud new owner of a e-trac. It will be here Tues .
Andrew from NED told me about you folks when I bought my unit so here I am.
Years ago I swung a White's coinmaster when I lived in Fla . Now I'm in Greenvillle Sc and several years older and wanting to beep beep again !
I'm hoping the e-trac will be like riding a bicycle again with a little more horse power !
Looks like a fun sight and I look forward to learning from you folks

Bill

I had a couple of cheap ones before I got the coinmaster . This time I'm not going to buy and try just to want something better in a few weeks . I hope the e-trac is the cats meow so I won't want for another.
I did alot of research before pulling the trigger . I wish I had a rosie for every thread I read were someone with a e-trac posted ""I hit a spot that was all hunted out but !! Look what I found !!
That and the multi beeps were the selling factor for me . My eyes are getting old and I don't want to stare at the screen to read what I have . If I can hear it I'll be alot happier.
The screen is nice to have but I have to admit I had alot of swing time with my White's and I was pretty good with it .

Bill, Welcome to forum. I am new to the E-Trac as well, I have about 20 hours with it in the field. With every hour of use it just gets better and better. The big bonus you get here is the experienced guys on this forum are more that willing to help you out. I have only been detecting about 2 years but with forums like this you can learn fast from the experience of others and it will keep you motivated by the great finds that are posted here. You have a great detector and a great forum to share and learn on, I just can't say enough about the guys on this forum they are amazing. Good luck and welcome -- Randy

Welcome to the forum! One thing I can say about the Etrac is... it can just go beep beep, if you want it to but it will also sing a symphony of whats in the ground. It is a complicated machine with many settings to tinker with and learn or just load one of the preset minelab modes and start hunting right out of the box! Enjoy, and don't hesitate to come here with any questions and such... A wealth of info and experience are at your fingertips!

Welcome aboard Bill. Looking forward to some South Carolina finds. Man you've got potential. The opportunity for very old coins and then gosh...the first shots of the civil war fired right in your state. I'm green with envy! Enjoy learning your machine.
