Found this Atlantic Coast Line railroad uniform button yesterday. I can't find one like it researching the internet. I have pieced together some of the early history of the Atlantic Coast Line company. It was established in 1871 and began assimilating smaller railroads on the eastern seaboard, especially in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. It finally consolidated into and became officially known as the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1889. I'm guessing the button is roughly from the late 1800's to early 1900's but would like help in pinpointing the date a little more precisely. The back mark is "John Wanamaker Phil." Does anyone have any info on this button, possible dating, or other information? Thanks!

Thanks lonewolfe. It's in real nice condition and finding it has a sentimental element to it. My Dad a long time ago worked for The Altantic Coast Line in Wilmington NC. Not long enough to have worn that button though!
