Help for a CZ 7a

Flintstone

Well-known member
Hi CZ fans, I have a nice CZ7a, not Pro. Dose anyone know if they hunt just as good as other CZ detectors? Other than useing 12 AA batterys and being heavy, do they go just as deep and find silver as good? I like to hunt with it every now and then just wish it didn't use as many batterys. Thanks for any help, Dean

Hey Dean , that cz7a is still a CZ ,performance should be no different than any other CZ . It’s just packaged differently. Probably still the BEST nickel finder out there !!!

I haven't used that model.; but as Tony said, it is a CZ and should act no differently. I was looking for that model a few years back because of the AA batteries. Much cheaper to feed it AA batteries than 9 volt cells.

Thanks , Do you know it 1.5v AAs will work in the CZ7a? I know it is old but back then the AAs were 1.2v. Can i use rechargeable AAs? Thanks for any help, Dean

Standard AA cells are 1.5 volts and will work just fine. The rechargeable NiCad or NiMH are 1.2 volts. I have not used rechargeables in any of my CZs so I can not speak to that.

Thanks guys, I was just thinking that rechargeables would work with needing 12 AA batterys. I know they last about 70 hrs. I will just stick with reg. batterys.
