Henry Clay Campaign Medal ...Help

Dennis 2

Member
My Friend found this Henry Clay Campaign Medal along a rock wall while we were hitting some cellar- holes in MA.
Clays and Theodore Freinghuysen ran under the Whig party in 1844.
The medal he found has a 1845 date on it (as you can see). All the medals that I've seen have no date on them.
This one could be a rare find.
Any one know were I could get more information on this medal .
Thanks for looking

I was told it should be in the book "Sullivan/DeWitt book American Political Badges" . But it's out of print, and sells for around $450.00. Any infomation would be great.
Thanks

John , thanks for your help. Guess I'll have to pay them to give me info on it. This is the only one I've seen that faces right with a 1845 date on it. All the others face left with out a date.Or have a 1844 date facing left.
Thanks again
