Tnet the other day? A guy found a 1652 pine tree shilling in Mass. They'd have to call EMS if I'd found that. Looks to be in pretty good condition; should fetch a pretty penny. If i remember the story right, his friend (who doesn't have a detector) knew of his hobby and let him dig his property; a house that was built in the 1700's. The deal was they would split whatever was found. Well, the coin is on it's way to be graded and they'll sell it and split whatever they get. How cool is that?

I also remember a post several years ago where a guy bought a Fugio cent in a bowl of tokens at a yard sale for 50 cents. Steve in so az
 
There is a few guys from over that way that have dug several high dollar coins! I want just one! :)
 
That's a stunning find!

There must be some of those in Ct. ..maybe lots of them ; I would sure love to dig one of those up !

There must be plenty of old areas around you. Do a little research on your area if you haven't already done so.
