High Ferrous numbers

DiggininPa

New member
I only had my E-trac for less then a month now and found 17 silvers already. My question is should I be digging ferrous numbers that show 23 and higher with conductive numbers that are in the forties. The ones I dug have always been iron.

It depends a lot on how you have the E-Trac set up.In conductive with the coins mode it will be almost always iron unless coin is heavily masked by iron in my experience. When in a more open screen mode as in little disc I think more coins will have a higher ferrous number but still believe it is caused by target contamination.

Hi Ray-Mo

Do you find that any of the Expert settings affect the FE readings? I run in a mostly open mode with deep off, fast on, and difficult with ferrous 2 tone. Thanks. John
