I put the small coil on today and went into an area I’ve been getting older coins. When running the 11” I would get an occasional 59-60 which I’ve come to recognize as probable halo or deep larger iron. If running in G mode I can often get those low 3-8 iron grunts and know its halo or falsing. The couple times I’ve dug 59-60 signals its turned out to be square nails or the old square nuts.
Now, I’m running in 4khz and if I switch over to M1or M2 the high numbers remain clear and the low grunts seem to disappear. Those stronger signals I have dug end up being nothing and resweep shows no more signal.
Today I had a high signal with a bouncy mid 20s back sweep and it ended up being an old V nickel. Later similar high hit with higher 40s signal which was a rather large horse shoe nail.
Do you guys dig the clear high 59-60 numbers or pass on them generally? I know the high 90s numbers on the F75 are always iron related (so far) and wondering if this is the same.
