You can check the mint site for what amount you can recycle. But they are t taking cents out of circulation. The mint will make more nickels and probably use a different metal. I hope the new nickel coins don’t sounds like quarters.
Today the mint pays 13 cents t9 produce each nickel so they have no choice to move to another type
 
Today was the day the US Mint stopped making Cents, or as many say, ‘Pennie’s’.
I heard there are still over 100 billion in circulation, so they aren’t going away anytime soon.

Before the disc detector those rusty bottle caps where the worst as there wasnt that many tab and we learned to listen more after digging million of them, now we got spoiled with these new detector that has disc, notch to eliminate much of this trash ,but if you want gold you have to dig it all anyway. When and if a detector was built that eliminate the trash and gets the gold and silver only than everyone will want one only to see those that dig everything and know their detector well will have already got most all of it.

Havent seen or heard from you for a while Chris, hope everything is good for you, myself havent did much detecting the last couple year because of health issues and running my bar when I can.
