HOLES, HOLES AND MORE HOLES!

I went to a park yesterday that I had had success in the past and what do I see but holes, holes and more holes everywhere with pulltabs and screwcaps and other junk items laying around the rims of the holes! GGGGGGRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
The cowboy/s (they are not fit to be called metal detectorists) that dig 3 to 4 inch wide and sometimes bigger holes and leave the foil, trash, screwtops etc; laying on the ground next to the hole really infuriate me to the max. There were way too many for me to fill back in and I sheepishly and embarrassingly HAD to leave in case I got the blame for the idiot that did this. This is just blatant laziness and in my book, they should get mandatory community service time for doing this.
I cannot go back to that park again and I hope the City Council do not close the parks around here because of those irresponsible idiots, to true metal detectorists who enjoy this wonderful hobby of ours WHO FILL THEIR HOLES!!!!!!!!

Goldstrike- I think we all experience this problem more than we care to see. If I stumble upon someone hunting (hopefully only a newbie would be so guilty ), I now make it point to introduce myself and explain the importance of code of ethics, though I may be paraphrasing it. Too much public access has been lost to hunting due to the ignorant actions of a few ya-hoos..

I have encountered the same situation and I've been known to fill countless holes made by some other idiot !! Maybe Karma will catch up with them and they will break their ankle in one of there own holes !! LOL . Sometimes you can't help digging a big hole with a minelab but my holes always get filled in and the pulltab goes in my bag along with several silver coins !!! Good luck in your hunts !!
