Dad and I went to 3 different sites today. Only one of them produced anything.
Site #1:
It was an overgrown playground that looked like it was very rarely used. Only notable finds that I found was a piece of a ring( not sure if it's silver or not) and about $0.12.
My Dad only found a couple of pennies and, strangely enough, a piece of a ring.(not sure if his is silver either) We need to get one of those test kits. You can see them in the pics. We only spent about half an hour at site #1.
Site 2:
Baseball bleachers.
This was the best site of the day. Dad and I found all of our coins here. This site is also where him and I found our silver rings. His first find at this location was his silver ring. It's sterling silver and has 2 hands holding a heart on the top. Surprisingly, it was able to fit his pinkie finger even though it was pretty small. I found my ring, witch is .925 silver, in front of the bleachers. Unfortunately, it was half flattened by something. Also found the pink heart earring. Doesn't have any markings on it.
Question: What is the difference between sterling silver and .925 silver?? Witch is worth more???
Site 3:
Playground.
Highlights: 10 inch deep can. We only spent about 15 minutes there.
Overall we hunted for about 4 hrs. today. I'm gonna be aching tomorrow.
Strangely, I actually planned on finding silver today. I've never done that until today.
P.S. Most of those pull tabs gave a solid nickel signal on the Ace 250, yet, I didn't find 1 nickel today.
Today's finds:
Dad:
$5.85= 12 quarters, 25 dimes, 20 pennies, and 3 nickels.
Toy corvette
Sterling silver ring
Piece of ring
Me:
$2.39=12 dimes, 4 quarters, and 19 pennies.
Army of One key chain
.925 silver ring
heart earring
Piece of a ring
Photos are as follows:
