Just wondering how it liked vs the normal coil. I search for coins and gold in tot lots and beaches. I will somtimes hunt in an old property. I really am loving the detector as a whole.

Just use the 'search' function here at FindMall using DD Coil as the serch term. You will get all the info you need/want on how DD coils operate/behave/advantages/disadvantages.

I get how it works in general , just wondering from other teknetics users.

I use the 11" DD quite a bit on my Omega. Although I really enjoy the 10" for the likes of school yards and sports fields type of hunting. It is light weight, gets decent target separation and gets good depth. I do a lot of bigger area (fields) hunting that have a fair amount of trash and the 11" does cover a little more ground, may be a tad deeper then the 10" and being a DD gets very good target separation. I've dug numerous good targets with the 11" that were co-located with a trash item. When I got my Omega I got the 3 coil package and as each has its place for varying situations, I find I use all three, depending on what these situations are. HH jim tn

lesft4dead i would highly recommend the 5 inch dd coil for the delta,my brother in law switched to that from the std round concentric coil and will never go back lol he hasnt taken that col off since he put it on and his finds have increased many times over.He is very impressed with that small coil...Markmac

close to metal structures in playground sites. The key, there, is to quickly reduce the Sensitivity level when very close to the metal, then increase it as you move a little farther away. I am not a fan of the 11" DD on most models and definitely not on the Delta.
