how hot is to hot to hunt yards?

Hey everyone, I know when it gets very hot and dry that hunting yards is not a good idea because you can leave brown spots where you cut a plug, At least that's what I've been told. What temp would you say is the cut off temp? What outside temp and above is too hot? Also if your plug turns brown will it eventually recover or is it dead for good? Thanks all and HH.

In my opinion its not so much the heat as it is the dryness, so its really hard to say exactly... I guess when the dirt starts to fall apart like its almost sand, whereas when its moist it clumps up into little balls theres plenty of moisture in the ground. If you wanted to hunt, just make sure its going to rain sometime within the next day or 2. Make sure you cut deep, and try and shake the dirt from the roots rather than cutting or ripping at your plug if you need search your plug.
