how hot is too hot?

Glad you ask that question about the heat. Down in south Louisiana we have had high temps already this year. My buddy had a problem with his F75 and the factory told him it's problem was due to the heat (he left it in the trunk of his car all the time, black car also). To bad it's not as simple as a XT70 where you can pull the electronics and put it in your pocket. The only suggestion I have is don't let it get to hot.....................
 
Wrap it in a thick blanket. I would be weary of a cold pack condensating in a closed cooler. Maybe a cold pack wrapped in a towel under the detector wrapped in a heavy blanket, but would test it with bottled water first.
