How to clear right upper corner of screen for large Silver?

banditicey

New member
I'm reading the manual and Andy's book but can anyone give me a step by step description as to
how to remove the block on the upper right of the screen that indicates large Silver?

Also, is there a trick to keeping in auto when you do auto plus 3?

I'm very much a visual learner and need to visualize the steps.

Thanks

Last question first.

There is no trick to keeping it in Auto +3 when in Auto. Now if you hit the right/left arrows (from the 4 grouped arrows) then you switch into Manual. If you hit the up/down then it bumps up or lowers your Sensitivity either in Manual or Auto. (Of course in Auto, you can only go +3 or -3....that's the limits). Your sensitivity should stay where you have it set....unless you bump the arrows when in the detecting mode.

To open up the spot for Big Silver you'll need to:

1. Go to Menu then Edit.
2. Move your cursor using the arrows to the spot (ie. 01-40)
3. Then press the accept/reject button (lower right)
4. Keep doing this until you get the area you want "undiscriminated".
5. Press the detect button when done.
6. Yes to "Load into Smartscreen"
7. Press Menu
8. Go to Save
9. Save it in a spot of your choosing.

I hope all that is right...I'm going off memory.

You got it right Neb, any changes you make in the Minelab patterns are only temporary unless you save them in a user mode. This includes your expert settings, audio etc.

Thank You Neb Trac
It is just what i needed

You understood that i did not want a "picture" just a step by step breakdown

Your response was pretty much the nicest thing that happened today for me

Regards Really

Or.......

Press the quick mask button then.....

Press the up arrow until you block out about FE 18 on down

Then Press the right arrow button and block out CO 01 through maybe 03

Now everything in the upper two quadrants are open for interpretation.

Quick mask is cool. You can pull the FE line up as high as you need and push the CO to the right as far as needed. You can make the quick mask pattern as tight or as loose as you want.

Give it a try, I think you will like it.
