Jim it never occurred to me that I was old until one day at work a young girl that I had given a ride to the hospital asked the boss if she could ride back with the same guy that had taken her in. When the boss asked her, "who" she said, "That old guy." Of course the boss really had to let me know that fact. That day changed everything for me. I really never thought about being old. I realized I didn't have to play anymore. I could just be. I don't have a peer group anymore that I have to follow. I am a peer group of one. Life is great, about all that life requires from you is that you breathe. As my old friend always told me. "Your not guaranteed the next breathe so enjoy the one you now have." He lived to be 96 and chewed tobacco for 90 years.
