That dimes two years older than QH.........

Thats a nice dime, and two old nickles! The same park you've been shootin? How deep was the dime? You like 3H eh? How are your batterys holding up? Pretty good? Nobodys getting tired of your posts Zeek, This is the first place I check in the morning, so you better keep posting what you find for some inspiration! Well done again old pal...
Mud

QH thanks. Now I know you are a young man. I am 11 years older than that dime.
Mud I remember the dime because it was most difficult coin I dug today. It was under a rock. Down 3" but the rock was blocking every attempt I was making at trying to get the dime. So I had to dig the(about) 2x2x1" rock out of the ground. My screwdriver was bending a wee bit there. Of course I was swearing as usual. All this for a @#*!! dime. As soon as I saw it I knew it was silver. The nickels were in the same area also I dug those the next 2 digs. I also dug a wheat penny in the area. But when I was brushing the wheat off it slipped out of my hand and went down the drain. Never did get the year of the wheat.
Of course when I told my hunting partner. He said a normal person would have closed the drain plug. Then he said," but we aren't normal are we?"
I do like the 3H. I had DP on the Safari and it took a lot of time to get the hang of all those tones. When I got the F70 it was nice to have so many choices. 2F is what I started with and went to 3H. Tried the other tones but 3H was very simple to get the hang of quickly. And it just became more comfortable as time went on. Batteries is another plus on the F70 they last for weeks as you know. When I get down to 1 bar I will change batteries.
Oh, you meant my batteries. They are holding up pretty good. Every morning I do and exercise called Synergetics. Have been doing these exercises for many years. It takes about 12 minutes in the morning. I think everyone over 50 should be doing these exercises every day. Pop the cd in the dvd player and do it along Mr and Mrs Hay. Web site is Pocketgym.com.
Will put up #103 because it was again lots of coins. I have gotten around 600 coins out of this park now.
Time for my night time brandy and do a little relaxing.. See you tomorrow. Happy Trails to all .....Z

Nice dime Z. Keep posting always like to see what u find. HH

You know Jim when you find silver even a day with 3 other finds is still a good hunt. Thanks
j.t., Stryker again thanks for encouragement to keep me going. Well, thanks to all of you guys for the encouragement because sometimes this old fart just doesn't seem to have enough energy to move his feet and get out there to detect. When I see your posts and some of the great finds, "I say I can find that too." Than I get out there and say what the HELL am I doing out here. I should be home sitting on the porch or in bed like a normal retired person. Thanks guys....Happy Trails....Z

I wish you would quit calling yourself an old fart. I am about your age and consider myself a young............fart. :) HH jim tn

:rofl: Jim it never occurred to me that I was old until one day at work a young girl that I had given a ride to the hospital asked the boss if she could ride back with the same guy that had taken her in. When the boss asked her, "who" she said, "That old guy." Of course the boss really had to let me know that fact. That day changed everything for me. I really never thought about being old. I realized I didn't have to play anymore. I could just be. I don't have a peer group anymore that I have to follow. I am a peer group of one. Life is great, about all that life requires from you is that you breathe. As my old friend always told me. "Your not guaranteed the next breathe so enjoy the one you now have." He lived to be 96 and chewed tobacco for 90 years.
Enough thanks Jim adn Happy Trails....Z

Z, had a guy (old) lol tell me that "you are only as old as you feel and there are ways to help yourself not feel old." I see him at the gym every time I go at a certain time and know he spends an hour or so there 7 days a week. Seriously, he is 85, looks 65 (maybe) and is in great shape. Anyway, I am going to keep on swinging and digging as long as I can and so far I feel great. Happy trails back at you. HH jim tn

Thanks Brian, Terradigger, Jim for encouragement to keep going. It is always needed some days much more than other days. I do exercise 7 days a week 12 minutes a day every morning for many years. "Synergetics" I think everyone should start their day out this way. Turn the TV on and plug in the cd. Once you retire I think a person must continue to learn and be active in what he/she enjoys.
I went to a site that had a free music concert this weekend and the last of the tents were going down yesterday. I walked for miles. I went into and around tents that were standing. I noticed where the portable potties were a few days before that. I went to openings into the grounds. I went to eating area. Area where $1 Tickets were being sold. There was nothing.
I ended up with 31 coins. It was a disappointing hunt. Wife said it showed on the news that there were thousands of people attending the concert.
The plan was to search that site for a few days but I think I will call that site a bust and move on. I guess you just never know about the world of detecting?
Thanks for reading and Happy Trails.....Z

zeeks! you made a strong effort and you are to be commended for it!
ya certainly can't sit on your a**,and expect 'em to jump into your pouch!

silver works!

(h.h.!)

j.t. I don't think I would want the coins to jump into my pouch. If that happened I would sit in the recliner and watch TV as the coins jumped into my pouch. But wait a minute... That is how I lived before, sat in the recliner watching TV. WOW!!! I don't want that way of life anymore. I would rather go out there an swear, moan and groan while digging tab, bottle caps and junk along with some coins. Gadzooks what a great life! Happy Trails.....Z
