Hunt an old house in town and only got 2 coins

Hunted an old house here in town that has been over grown for the last 2 years. Seen someone today mowing the lawn so I stopped and ask if I could hunt. Turns out the 70 plus year old lady mowing the lawn was willed the house by her aunt and she lives out of town. The history of the house was it was built in 1870 and was and out building to the farm. Her aunt and uncle bought the house when he returned home from ww2 and began fixing it up. They never had any kids and thats how this lady got the house. Sweet lady but hard to detect when someone is following you around ask 110 questions. But the good thing is by taking the time with her I now have all rights to hunt the rest of the yard. So to the 2 coins

1899 barber quarter
1944 merc

Sweet coins! Barber Quarters are becoming harder and harder to find.
There's probably a whole lot more there!

Did you offer to mow the lawn for that 70 yr. old lady?
I'd let someone follow me all day for a site like that.

Nice work grabbing those 2 silvers! Now get the rest of them on your return trip! Good luck!

Congratulations on the finds. Thanks for the story and the pictures.
