Hunted Sunday sans Pro-Pointer

I have to say I got about as many coins without it as I do using it but I really missed the old girl. A few coins eluded me for several minutes. Unheard of using a Pro-Pointer. I went with the stock coil to get super accurate pinpointing and lowered sensitivity to 6.5 where I would normally have it set around 8-9 at this site. I didn't even stop at my good silver coin site, which I drove right by, because I really need the Pro-Pointer for that style of hunting.

The Martin Van Buren dollar was a very recent drop, right on the surface. It tied my 2008 dollar coin number at a puny 13. Right at the end of the hunt I got yet another silver chain that I would not have found without the attached medal. Saint Timothy. 7.6 grams. I finally noticed it as it dangled from my hand as I rescanned the hole from where I found it for the third time. No more hunts without the Pro-Pointer. EVER!

Probably my only hunt for the week-end. Don't feel all that much like detecting for a change even though time is getting short.

Great hunt Chris, Congrats on the silver and the dollar coin.

I just secured an old farm place and will be hitting it hard all week as the owners are on vacation. Today I found a keystone tag that would have been on a PA licence plate between 1910 and 1915. I'll post it later in the week.

I think you wore that detector out with all those coin hunts this year. You sure did dig a lot of holes.

great hunt Chris & nice silver chain yeah a pinpointer makes life easy when hunting deep targets.
you feeling alright there mate not feeling like detecting doesn't sound like the Chris i know your not coming down with something are ya uke: i know how to fix it just find a little gold & that"ll have ya swigging like before in no time i"ll even lend ya some of my gold mojo for three & a half days till ya feel better but don't use to much as i need it on the weekend.
