Ok where do I start.....what a fabulous hunt. The day was great the weather was perfect. The very first thing found was by my hunting partner and he got a 1885 seated dime, that got us both jazzed up, believe me
the dime was 2" deep, he almost didn't dig it because he just dug several aluminum pieces all around it at the same depth!
then 2 minutes later, I found the Indian penny, it was beside a large tree and maybe 3" deep, I couldn't believe how shallow these coins were. Then my second find I got a bouncy signal, it was pulltab, then penny back and forth. I said to myself I am digging who knows what it is, well 4" down I popped out this 18K ring, needless to say the happy dance was done again by me....
then to finish the day I got 2 wheats 1942, and 1944. My partner did not get anything else. We thanked the president of the historical society over and over for allowing us to hunt there and he told us we are welcome back again, since we can only hunt there when they are open and that is Sunday 2-4pm. You can bet your booty we will be back!!!!
