Hunting a busy intersection with the t2se (non-upgraded)

2 Much Trash

Well-known member
Finally got out for a couple hours yesterday and hunted a small spot at the corner of a busy intersection. As you can imagine it's loaded with trash. Lots of small iron but the real culprit is aluminum. I used 40 disc., bp mode, and the best I could get out of sens. was 65. In the area surrounding this spot bullets come in around 80-83, brass comes in around 58. Here bullets read in the upper 60's to low 70's, brass in the low 50's. I dug everything above 40 and dug a lot of crap but did manage a few keepers. Just shows how when hunting in a junk infested spot how the good stuff is down graded. Oh well, as a relic hunter I ought to be diggin' everything anyway. Targets were 2 to 7 inches. I've been nursing a back injury for over a month , finally getting out to dig sure was nice. Those bullets and eagle cuff button sure hit the spot.
Thanks for looking :detecting:

Nice stuff, Bill! Good to see you're finally out digging. Haven't been out myself for a bit, but next weekend for sure.Have you lived up in Powhatan long? Give the 5" coil a try if you have one.

That is a good dig

Thanks Robert. I've lived in Powhatan for about 17 years. I was in such a hurry to squeeze in a couple hours digiin' all I grabbed was the detector which had the 11" coil on it, my headphones and shovel. Left my bag with all my stuff and 5" coil in the shed. I'm going back soon with the 5". Good luck next weekend, I'll be looking forward to see how you do.
Bill, :beers:

Great digs. I'm sure it was real nice to get out diggin. You plan to get the upgrade?

Thanks Pal. Not sure about upgrading. There's part of me that wants to and part of me that don't. I'd better hurry and make up my mind, times running out. Just not sure if I want to fix something that ain't broke although it will improve its performance.

Nice finds buddy. HH

You had a really good day there. I live a little north of you in Spotsylvania, I own a t2 se, I was thinking about getting the upgrade also. You said in your post time was running out do you know if they have set a deadline to get it done.

What great finds!!! i hurt my back 20 years ago and i still today get down for no reason,i beleive that once you hurt your back it will never be the same again. i hope that your back gets well so you can go out there and find more great stuff.

Nice going! Yep, good targets next to trash and you can forget using the target ID.

Thank for answering my question To Much Trash.

Your welcome GT. My best find ever was in your neck of the woods. It was called Spotsylvania Heights during the Civil War. Don't know what it's called now.
