I called it- Mr. DFX never really used his T-2

Of course, what did you expect the comments would be, coming on a brand specific forum, saying what you did ?

I suspect there's a bit more to this story. Maybe not caused by you intentionally, but there's more. Three things come to mind, the operator, of that you already addressed, the detector being flunky/defective, and the dealer that sold it to you.

If the dealer warned you about the T-2, that would raise a red flag to me as a fellow dealer. There's lot's of detector's out there I don't like, but I don't do that. In fact if I don't like a particular unit, I don't sell it. I'll loose the sale first, and send them somewhere else.

Only proves what the people of this forum have been saying all along. You dont use anything long enough. Your opinion is useless. Besides, if you have used 'em all and have decided the DFX is the greatest, well you really do have a screw loose

because yes, it's still a free country and there are still freedom of speech, now for the second BUT, These forums AREN'T free, they cost money to operate so they are sponsored by hard working metal detector dealers, who PAY for this FREE site and for us to have the opportunity to post comments about finds, detectors, request information and sell or trade a detector that we wound up buying and trying only to find out it wasn't our cup of tea.

So the point is, there is a certain thing called gratitude and not biting the hand that feeds you. There are ways of posting your dislikes about a detector without offending anyone or deliberately trying to drop the sales of a particular detector unless that is the motivation for the detector bashing post.

some folks like mr DFXswinger may not have what it take's to learn a detector like the T2. I admit it took me several weeks to become comfortable with mine. I had to try different settings and it really took some time to settle on a disc setting of 10 but I kept at it and finally I learned it. I'm sure I still have a lot to learn but some people I guess just don't have what it takes.

We all know that the T2 is one powerful and sensitive machine. It is the best all around detector on the market and I do not think for a minute that the Fisher F-75 will replace it. I own a Sovereign GT and A tejon and both are good but neither is as adaptable and as fast as the T2. Also remember that Dave Johnson designed both the MXT and the T2 and the T2 is his most recent design... the one where he learned from the MXT and improved the design... No one goes backward and designs a lesser product as their carreer move's along... gimme a break.

So, we need to take mr DFXswinger with a little grain of salt.. you know, if you can't learn it then it must be the detector... certainly it's not the user...
