I can't get over how much I love this detector. :fisher:

I spent a day hunting with my Golden.

I spent a day hunting with my CZ3D.

I spent a day hunting with my F5.

Guess which one caused me to say out loud several times during the course of the hunt, "I love this detector!" ????

I'll give you a hint. It wasn't the first two, although the 3D has got me nodding my head in appreciation :)

Uhmmm---Well now, let me take a "wild guess" Mike!----It wasn't tha-- G--and it wasn't tha 3--so it MUST have been da 5!! :)-----I think you're just like Elton in finding the perfect detector for him (T2) in that you have found the "perfect detector" (for you) in the F5.----I'm really happy for both of you! ----------Del

...I keep hearing about them being available for the F5 but I never see them anywhere. I will pick up the 11" dd for it this spring but...a big SEF would be cool too.

azsh07........here ya go, dude:

(just one of a number, this one has vids)

Actually, after watching the videos, I didn't see this thing doing anything that my 11" DD won't do with my F75 Standard already. I just can't justify the expense of the SEF for what little, if any, gains are made.

got lucky with a better CZ3D than I ever owned or borrowed. They were all terrible, especially- when hunting for US 5

Sure, Mike. Until the next young thing catches your eye...

I never really heard, what made you drop that "colored" gal you were getting cozy with?

 That's a good one marcomo!---I forgot about that one.----Yeah Mike, what ever happened to that little colored gal??--You know, the one with that nice colored screen!!! (no "put down" intended). :)---------Del

That sweet little colored gal with all the latest designer fashions? I really liked her but once I discovered how much trouble she had walking here I had to break it off. Lets just say she stumbled quite a bit on some of my dance floors when we went dancing. I thought it was me at first, that I was leading wrong, but nope, it was her. If I ever move to another part of the country that has better dance floors I'll give her another go as I was quite sweet on her. Maybe she'll have "pro" surgery and be able to dance anywhere. :wiggle:

Hi Monte,
I'm actually rather pleased with the CZ3D I got. More pleased than I anticipated I would be. The tones are nice to my ear and I like the audio strength. Target id seems to be right, and most importantly, it doesn't seem to struggle with my ground minerals and EMI. I'm looking forward to more detecting time with it which for me is unusual because I usually begrudge time away from the F5.

Yeah, the Golden has its warts, but it is the only tone id unit Tesoro makes that I can run the Cleansweep coil on. I have to have that size coil and Tesoro detectors handle that coil design well. The Bigfoot is lighter and easier to swing but the Whites detectors don't respond as well using that coil size as the Tesoro's do. At least not to my satisfaction. If I could get a simular coil for the F5, I would not need the Golden.

Blessings to you in 2011.
Mike

Thanks Bill.
You sure hooked me up with a good one.

Have you tried an Omega-8000? I wonder how you would compare the F-5 to the Omega. Particularly, I wonder if the F-5 is any quieter than the Omega. I have an Omega but have never used an F-5. The Omega is quiet as long as Ikeep the sens below 70, the "channels" don't really make much difference. When I go above I can still hunt and it does quieten down as I begin to swing but it is still chatty. Is the F-5 chatty at higher sens? How is the depth?
If it matters, I usually use the 11" coil on the Omega but sometimes the 10", it doesn't seem to make a difference in the noise. Like I said, it is still usable but a bit annoying.

Thanks,

Julien

Julian,
Yes I have used both. While I loved to

Got my f-5 today got out of work early even though my ground is froze i still hit some targets that read nickel and the confidence meter was maxed out and number was show a lock on of 29 and showing nickel and the size was about right too and just below high tone was answering both sweeps, man i can't wait for some warm days now!

Julien----Do a search & pull up Mikes lengthy report on the Omega & (versus) F5.----That was a good one & very well written report--I read it several times.--------Del

Jav Glad to see your tring out the Digital side, you'll find it interesting, but still can't take away the power of the 1270. good luck with the new F5.

well it was one of those things where i had the omega and gamma once which were very good, the omega for some reason it never did it for me and the gamma was decent to and i did like better than the omega was having a hard time trying to distinct deep targets form and i always wanted to try the f-5 and will say i love what they did on the audio its sort of like a digital cz when hearing targets with this, just bought a 5" DD coil and can't wait to try it!

Yeah, it is the audio that spoils you, especially at with the positive threshold settings.
I confess I haven't used the small coil that much with it. I'm usually running the stock or the 11" DD.
Hope you can get out soon.
