I don't get many of these!

I was on the turf at 5:30 this morning hoping that me, the early bird, would get a nice worm. After about two hours of hunting and very little to show for my "early bird" efforts I decided to move across to another field. Within 5 minutes I got a lock on 90 with the Omega and 11" coil showing 4" and out popped the no date s SLQ. I haven't found many of those in recent years and even without a date, was pleased to see it. A short time later I got a bit of a bouncy high tone signal showing 82-84, which often are wheat cent readings, and a depth reading of 4 and 5" within a very short space. I dug about a 4" deep plug and recovered the little 1/2" square thing. I thought hmmmm, and stuck the pin pointer back down in the hole and off to the side felt the pin pointer vibrate. Dug around the signal and got the 37 Merc. The wheats are pretty toasted, but got dates out of them of 40, 42 and 56. The token type piece with the star in the middle is going to take some work as will the larger disc with the hole on top. I can make out some markings on the larger disc, but not enough of anything to make any determinations. Right at the end of the hunt I got a 84-85 reading showing 5" and figured I might be recovering my 2rd silver dime of the morning. As it turned out it was silver, but a 4 gram 925 marked silver ring, not a silver dime. Once again the Omega did what it was designed to do and I will continue to keep it dusted off for a while longer. I was running 99 sen, 1 disc, d3 tones and a gb of 58. HH jim tn
