I finally got one!

My friend and I went out a few days ago for a short afternoon hunt of a couple of hours. I wanted to hunt an old ghost town that started around 1887 and closed around 1905. There was quite a bit of broken glass and some pottery shards which is usually a good sign that you might find something old. We were getting a bit discouraged after a while digging farm junk. I was running my Equinox 900 when I hit a signal that locked on with an id of 94. I thought another beer can. Low and behold I popped out a 1954 Franklin half! How the heck did that find it's way into the field? We figured a farmer may have dropped it working on a tractor. I have a few other coins such as modern clad and some green pennies but this is my first silver of the year! And I will take it!! Thanks for looking! Ted
