Fri I went to an old school/park that I have been to in the past and did ok the last time I was there. Well Fri I did pretty good too. I found a 44 Washington Quarter, a 45 Merc, a 1905 IH and 5 wheat's.
When I got back to my town I stopped at a house and asked for permission to MD a yard and I got the ok. The owner has been doing some repairs on the house which was built in 1874 and he did some scraping down the yard a long the sidewalk so that the yard would slope down to the sidewalk a lil better. So that was the first place I started and the first good signal I got was a 1874 IH. about a foot from there I found a 1858 Flying Eagle Cent. wow, that's my second one this year and that's a coin I didn't think I would ever find and now I have two of them. about 10' from that coin I found a 1907s Barber dime that looks like somebody tried to cut it with a pair of side cutters and I scratched it on the back, oops. then I found a 1883 V nickel. then at the end of my first pass I found the 43s Merc dime. On my return pass I didn't do as good as the first pass. I found a couple wheat's and a IH on that pass and in those 2 passes I covered all of the scraped down area in the yard. The rest of the front yard was not as good as the first 2 passes. I found another V nickel 1900, 2 more IH's a few more wheat's, a cool old F.D button and some other things.
Sat I went back and finished the rest of the yard and found another IH, a wheat and some kind of old buckle.
That was one of the better yards I have done in a long time.
