I have gone years.......

without finding a silver half and I have found 4 this year (so far ) three just in the last month. I thought I would make a contest out of this one for a Barber dime at the next meeting, must be present to win. Members, guess what year it is here on this post and the closest one wins a silver dime. If a tie, the first to enter is the winner........and the contest ends November 29th. Good luck.

We got out hunting a couple of times while camping for probably the last outing of the year and we could not have had better weather for it. The IH cents are 1905 and 1894 and the oldest wheats are 1919 and 1920 out of the six found.

Congratulations Honey! :cheekkiss: It was nice seeing all that dirt covering the coin and just seeing the rim. WOW, Again! :wiggle:

You already know my guess, but for the record, I'm guessing 1952.

ANOTHER half dollar? hmmmmm. I see that you posted this on Halloween, is that a clown happy face in the lower right corner? I'm going to guess that the half is a 1942. Congrats on the great finds.

My guess is 1944.( Daryl, FYI, before I read the other guesses, I was going to guess 1943.) I hunted for 5 hours on Sunday afternoon and only found fewer than 10 zinc pennies. Other hunters were finding old foreigns, Indian Heads, and Wheats in the same area....... A bit frustrating...
