I JUST WANT TO GO METAL DETECTING!!!!!!..........GO AWAY SNOW AND GRANT ME THIS ONE WISH PLEASE!!!...........OK. sorry guy's I guess I lost my senses for a minute(what little I have left that is). I have a new goal for the 2011 season. I am going to search for coins and a metal lamp with a genie in it and then I will have three wishes and then no more snow or frozen ground next winter. Sorry old man winter your time is about up!!:beers::lol: HH to all that can.

i know how you feel the snow in uk kept me inside for three weeks i was almost stir crazy anyway happy hunting once you get out there again

I know how you feel. Winter is taking a break this week and HOPE I'm not too busy to go swing the coil for a bit. Would be a shame to lose the opportunity.

Here in Washinton we are in the mid 50's and enjoying a dry spell. Perfect for MD. The issue that I am having is living here. CLAD CITY!! I'd much rather suffer through a long east coast/midwest winter to find even one silver coin!!!

Thank you for reminding me how lucky we MDs are in the North East as we deal with the cold and snow.
I know that I will find silver when I can detect again and that brings great comfort to me on these long Winter days and nights.
Our Winter started late in December this year but certainly it appears that it will last the three months we usually anticipate.
That does not stop me from making plans for the Spring and seeking potential areas for future detecting.
Hope you find a Silver coin soon.

Tuesday is bringing more of the white stuff in my neck of the woods. Heck, I'm not done shoveling out from the last round of snow.

Here in Central Illinois we have only had three day above freezing this whole month, and the ground has been covered with snow for the last three weeks.

Yesterday the 27Th we were driving home and I saw what I thought was a Robin beside the road, turned around and went back and no Robin. Headed home again and about a mile down the road there stood that Robin beside the road again. Today we saw him again in the same area so I said to my wife there you see the first sign of spring. My wife says no he's just lost and is looking for his friends.

Weather man this evening says we may be in for the biggest snow storm of the season next week. Some times it's very hard to like weather men.:nopity:

Regards and happy hunting

This is very early in the season to be seeing Robins but have seen at least one every day this week and to day we seen several in one bunch. Typically we don't see them until the last two weeks in Feb. and last year didn't see any till the first week of March. As I said in a earlier post we see them as a first sign of spring in our neck of the woods. But the weather man is still calling for a pretty good snow storm this coming Tuesday and Wednesday. They need to retreat south for a couple more weeks. Sure wish we could follow them. Rick
